Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator

CRM has developed the first platform technology for fully rechargeable implantable devices that can be recharged faster than any other rechargeable implantable product on the market today. The first product in the series is CRM-1* which is an implantable cardioverter defibrillator developed for prevention of sudden cardiac death. The features of the product are: • Guaranteed 25 year life - After the first implant, there is no need for battery replacement surgeries. • Rechargeable - The product is in office rechargeable, with each charge giving a full year of normal operation to patients. • Highly reliable - The only ICD on the market with redundancy of electronics, ensuring availability of functionality for when the patients need it. CRM-1 is a simple defibrillator with a single lead that implanted like any other intravenous ICD on the market. The implantation process is well known, and is a proven technique. The product requires virtually no programming. In most cases, the device is implanted right out of the box without a need for any adjustment.
